Accommodation is available and pre booked by us at White Mists 8 Villas and 11 Rooms
The Villas have 2 bedrooms and extra bedding can be arranged in the villas.
The rooms accommodate 2 persons
We are also setting up 4 person tents 8 to 10 with bedding.
There are bathrooms and showers available. Please confirm ASAP as places may be filling fast.
Other suggested accommodation reasonably near to the venue (40min drive) You can book through Bookings.com or other sites.
1.Taj Bangalore Airport AUD 400 per night per double room
2. Signature Club Resort around 180 AUD per night double around 40min from
venue and 25min to the after-party venue at white mists. It looks quite good value and not right at the airport.
3. The Windflower Resort and Spa 45 min to venue and 35min to after party.
4. Discovery Village is 200meters up the road from the Venu at Amita Rasa
For those guests who wish to spend a few days in Bangalore city prior to the wedding and do some sight-seeing around Bangalore – There is one very well priced hotel I like to stay at called Zion Hotel in Gandhinagar Bangalore. It’s quite central to the city centre and close to the bus stand. Not too much bustle but has great local and western food places and the area has quite a nice vibe.
In central Bangalore there are several good 5-star hotels but these are pricier. Sometimes good deals are available.
Transportation
Getting to Bangalore.
Bangalore has good connectivity from Singapore and Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur and probably several other Asian cities like Denpasar et al. Check Qantas website as I am pretty sure there are direct flights Sydney to Bangalore and prices looked good.
Chennai which is near Auroville where Daniel and Mahati live, has good connectivity from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. Thai Airways, Singapore and Malaysian airlines all fly to most parts of India.
There are flights from Pondicherry and Chennai to Bangalore for those wanting to come down to Pondicherry for a few pre wedding rituals at Daniel and Mahati’s home in Auroville.
There will be shuttle mini buses from Venue Amita Rasa to White Mists and Other accommodation. There will also be taxis hired to take guests to any other accommodation from venue to their hotel.
